    Victor Cohn

    Chairman & COO

    Victor Cohn has 40 years of financial industry experience. Victor oversees all administrative and legal matters of Solebury Capital and Solebury Communications and provides input, guidance and judgment on the daily business activities of each group.

    Victor began his Wall Street career at Salomon Brothers where he was Global Head of Equity Capital Markets. He also served as a member of the four-person Equity Operating Committee, responsible for running Salomon’s global equity business. Victor then joined UBS as Co-Head of Investment Banking and Head of North America Capital Markets. He was a member of the Regional Management Committee with responsibility for all U.S. capital markets products. Following UBS, Victor was Global Head of Equity Capital Markets at Bear, Stearns where he was a member of the firm’s Commitment Committee and President’s Council.

    Victor was a member of the Board of Directors at Verity, Inc., chairing both the Audit and Governance committees. Victor was also a member of the Board of Directors at Peregrine Systems, serving as Chairman of the Governance Committee, a member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Special Committee formed to handle the sale of Peregrine. He is a former director of Printcafe Software, Inc., where he also sat on its Audit and Compensation committees as well as the Special Committee of Independent Directors at the time of the company sale. Victor was a director at Dwango Wireless and served as non-executive Chairman.

    Victor graduated from Penn State University and currently lives in Pound Ridge, NY.

  • Alan Sheriff

    Alan Sheriff

    Co-Founder & Co-CEO

    Alan Sheriff has worked in the equity capital markets for over thirty-three years in a variety of senior positions. He initially spent nine years at Salomon Brothers Inc. and from January 1992 until February 2005 at Credit Suisse First Boston. In February 1994, Alan was promoted to Managing Director and in 1997, Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets for the Americas for Credit Suisse First Boston. He also Chaired the firm’s Equity Valuation Committee and sat on the Investment Banking Committee. Alan also led the Equity-Linked Capital Markets desk as well as the firms’ restricted stock effort. Since co-founding Solebury Capital, Alan has worked on IPO’s, follow-ons, block trades and general capital markets advice for financial sponsors such as Bain Capital, Ares Management, American Securities, TH Lee, Freeman Spogli, Apax Partners, Charlesbank and many others. Alan has worked directly with companies such as Nielson, The Carlyle Group, Dunkin Brands, BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products), Aramark, Black Knight Financial, Patheon, Planet Fitness, Party City and many others.

    Alan graduated with a BA in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Rochester in 1981 and with a Masters in Public Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in 1983. He is a member of The Council on Foreign Relations and the NationSwell Council. Alan is the founder of Teach2Serve, a nonprofit designed to educate and train select high school students for careers in public policy and nonprofit work. In January 2011 Alan served as a delegate for the U.S. State Department’s Global Entrepreneurship Program in Egypt, in an effort to promote and spur entrepreneurship around the world. Alan is a Trustee at The Solebury School, where has also taught courses on Genocide and the Holocaust. Alan also sits on the Boards of several start-ups including Runa, a clean energy drink company and Hydros Bottle.

    Alan lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his wife and four sons.

    Ted Hatfield co-founded Solebury Capital in 2005 and has jointly led the firm to become the country’s most influential equity capital markets advisory boutique and a leading global investor relations firm. Ted has nearly 30 years of capital markets experience on Wall Street including a background in fixed income trading, equity underwriting and ECM advisory. Ted has been responsible for the pricing of over 750 IPOs, marketed follow-ons and block trades in every sector of the economy.

    Prior to forming Solebury, Ted spent 20 years at Credit Suisse, serving as Head of U.S. Equity Syndicate Department – Americas. For roughly 10 years, Ted was responsible for overseeing the marketing, pricing, allocation and trading of all equity and equity-linked transactions listed in North America as well as all US-listed transactions marketed abroad. Ted was a member of the U.S. Equity Management Committee, Global ECM Management Committee, Equity Valuation Committee, Global Research Reform Project Board , IPO Practices Committee and Co-Chairman of the IPO Allocation Review Committee.

    Ted is a graduate of Lehigh University and lives in Summit, NJ with his wife and four children.

  • David Earling

    David Earling

    Managing Director

    David Earling had a 16 year career at Goldman Sachs before joining Solebury Capital in 2007. As a Managing Director in the Equity Capital Markets group at Goldman Sachs, David was a deal captain in multiple sectors and a lead financial services banker. During his tenure, he was a leader in the structuring and execution of landmark transactions such as MetLife, Prudential, CIT, Intercontinental Exchange, Principal, Stancorp and Anthem IPOs. He also led the U.S. execution of a number of non-financial IPOs including Monsanto, Canadian National Railway and China Telecom and was responsible for the block trade business within equity capital markets. Over the course of his career at Goldman Sachs and Solebury, David has led well over 300 equity IPOs, follow-ons, block trades and private placements.

    David graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dickinson College and received a Masters in International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University. David lives with his wife Maria and two children in Titusville, New Jersey.

    Steve joined Solebury Capital in 2012, after spending over twenty eight years on Wall Street. Steve began his career at Bear Stearns and remained at the firm for almost twenty five years, primarily focusing on equity capital markets. During his career at Bear Stearns, Steve was a Senior Managing Director and was responsible for the structuring, marketing and execution of hundreds of equity and equity linked transactions for issuers both inside and outside of the United States. He was the Global Head of the Equity Transactions Group and served on a number of committees, including the Commitment Committee and Equity Sub-Committee. He had oversight of all types of offerings, including IPOs, follow-ons, 144A placements, convertible securities, and block trades. For the few years prior to joining Solebury, Steve directed the ECM activity at two boutique securities firms.

    Steve received a BA in History from Tulane University and an MBA in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business. He lives with his wife and three children in Pound Ridge, New York.

    Lee Stettner has worked on Wall Street for twenty five years in a variety of senior roles in both equity capital markets and corporate finance. Before joining Solebury, Lee was a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets at J.P. Morgan where has responsible for both the Healthcare and Natural Resources sectors. He also served on the firm’s Equity Underwriting Commitment Committee which is responsible for evaluations all aspects of proposed equity transactions. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Lee was a Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Equity Capital Markets at Bear Stearns. From 2004-2007, Lee was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank where he a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Investment Banking and Equity Capital Markets Group. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was a Managing Director in the Equity Capital Markets Group at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was responsible for origination in the Healthcare and Business Services sectors. Lee started his career at Dean Witter and Morgan Stanley, where he worked in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group.

    Over the course of his career, Lee originated and bookran over 300 equity transactions, including landmark transactions for HCA, Alcon, Smith International, AEP, Laredo Petroleum, Antero Resources, AES, PPL, Premier Inc. Quintiles Weight Watchers, Quest Diagnostics, Progress Energy, LabCorp, Apache and Human Genome Sciences.

    Lee graduated with a BA in Economics from Hamilton College and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.  Lee is a Board Member of the Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Medicine.  Lee lives in Manhattan with his wife and two daughters.

    Patrick has been in the corporate finance community for over two decades. Having been a Principal of a Private Equity Fund, a Managing Director of a Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Bank and now a Managing Director at Solebury Capital — the country’s most influential equity capital markets advisory boutique and a leading global investor relations firm. Patrick has 20+ years of transaction experience both on Wall Street and Main Street. Patrick has been involved in countless deals and has occupied all the seats at the table as a buyer, a seller and an intermediary. Patrick has spoken at numerous conferences (ACG, TMA, YPO, etc.), taught at multiple universities (Yale, Penn, Villanova, etc.) and been published in a variety of financial periodicals. Patrick has served on both public and private boards.

    Prior to his transactional experience, Patrick worked with L. William Seidman – the economics, financial commentator, and former head of the U.S. Federal Deposit Corporation and Resolution Trust Corporation. Patrick ghost-wrote Bill’s memoirs, Full Faith and Credit; and co-founded one of the first private-market commercial mortgage securitization firms.

    Patrick is a graduate of Yale University. He lives in Philadelphia, PA with his wife and two daughters.

    Managing Director

    John has worked in Capital Markets and Investment Banking for over 30 years. Before joining Solebury, he was Head of Capital Markets at Tudor, Pickering & Holt  since 2010. Prior to joining TPH, he was a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank and Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette.  John was also in banking and Equity Capital Markets at Merrill Lynch and Kidder Peabody. He has covered the energy sector for over 30 years.

    John graduated cum laude from Washington and Lee University and received an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.  John is a Board Member of both public and private Companies and organizations.  He lives with his wife and three children in Houston, TX.

    Managing Director

    Matthew Collins is a Managing Director at Solebury Capital.  Matt joined the firm in 2010 after working within Equity Capital Markets at Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse.

    Since joining Solebury, Matt has worked on many of the firm’s consumer and technology transactions, including Floor & Decor, Textura, Planet Fitness, TPI Composites, Acushnet (Titleist and FootJoy), QAD Software, PetIQ, Paycom Software, At Home, Bojangles’, Coty, Blue Coat Software, SS&C Technologies, J. Jill, Habit Burger, Black Knight, Fogo de Chao, Five Below, Smart & Final, Boot Barn, El Pollo Loco, Freshii, Sally Beauty, Party City and Potbelly, amongst others.  Matt has also worked on IPOs and follow-on offerings for Schneider National, GMS, BMC Stock, Evoqua, WCI Communities, Norcraft, FivePoint Communities, Allison Transmission, Kinder Morgan and LPL Investment.

    Matt graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and lives in New Hope, PA with his wife, two daughters and English Springer Spaniel.

  • Gina Im


    Gina Im


    Gina Im joined Solebury in 2005 and oversees all areas of administration for Solebury Capital and its affiliates. Her multifunctional responsibilities include business administration, financial operations, human resources and regulatory compliance.

    Prior to Solebury Gina was with Acorda Therapeutics, a biotechnology company engaged in the development of drugs that restore neurological function for people with spinal cord injury and other central nervous system disorders. She was responsible for overseeing the direct activities of CRO(s) and vendors for data management, safety reporting, central labs, drug distribution, and statistical analysis of Phase II and Phase III clinical trials. She was also involved in the preparation of Annual Study Reports, Final Study Reports, and NDA submission to the Food and Drug Administration.

    Gina earned her Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy from Rutgers College of Pharmacy, Rutgers University.

    Mike Liddell joined Solebury Capital as a Vice President in 2012 from Nomura Securities, bringing nearly ten years of sellside research and buyside investing experience. Mike is a CFA Charterholder and is an active member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts. Prior to joining Nomura, Mike was a research analyst at Millennium Partners and Goldman Sachs. Mike started his career at Ernst & Young as a tax consultant, where he earned his CPA license.

    At Nomura, Mike was a key contributor to the launch of the US telecom services and cable & satellite research coverage. While at Nomura, he helped to coordinate the broader Nomura TMT sector research on key issues that impacted both the media and telecom sectors. At Millennium, a ~$10bn multi-strategy global hedge fund, Mike performed fundamental analysis for the media, telecom and technology specific hedge fund team, with a primary focus was the global advertising, entertainment, telecom and cable & satellite sectors. Prior to Millennium, Mike spent six years as a member of Goldman Sachs’ Global Investment Research division, covering the media and telecom sectors. At Goldman Sachs, Mike helped to initiate coverage on over 20 companies, and had experience covering the cable, broadcasting, outdoor advertising, live entertainment and video games sectors.

    Mike earned undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Finance from Lehigh University and resides in Solebury, PA with his wife and two children.

    James Shin is a Vice President at Solebury Capital. Since joining Solebury Capital in 2007, he has been involved in performing qualitative and quantitative analysis related to the equity underwriting process. He has advised a diverse group of issuers across multiple sectors including business services, consumer retail, TMT, FIG, diversified industrials and healthcare.

    Since joining Solebury Capital, James has executed offerings for ServiceMaster, Nord Anglia Education, Atento, Bright Horizons, Dunkin’ Brands, Fleetcor Technologies, Vantiv, Bloomin’ Brands, Hertz, TeamHealth, Nielsen, The Carlyle Group, and Artisan Partners among others.

    James is a graduate of Temple University and currently resides in Philadelphia, PA.

    Vice President

    Christopher “CJ” Purtill joined Solebury Capital in 2015 from T. Rowe Price where he was an equity research analyst covering the global technology, media and telecom space. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price, CJ was a senior equity research analyst with Janney Montgomery Scott covering domestic water utilities and water-related industrials. CJ began his career at Aqua America, Inc., (NYSE: WTR) initially as a senior associate on the investor relations team and later as director of the investor relations group. He is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

    CJ earned an undergraduate degree from Villanova University where he studied finance & accounting and resides in Bucks County, PA with his wife and two children.

    Vice President

    William “Bill” Kadel joined Solebury Capital in 2017 as a Vice President based in New York office. In his role, Bill focuses on advising issuers on the equity underwriting process in BioPharma and wider healthcare sector. Prior to joining Solebury, Bill spent three years at the Trout Group, where he worked closely with more than 25 development and commercial stage companies on capital markets strategy around clinical development, FDA approvals, commercial launches, and other business development activities. Earlier in his career, Bill spent four years in market research and institutional relationship management at both Goldman Sachs and Citigroup.

    Bill holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Moravian College, with a concentration in Finance. While at Moravian, he was a member of the football team and participated in managing a portion of the College’s endowment in the equity markets. He also holds Series 7, 63 and 79 securities licenses. Bill lives with his wife in Jersey City, NJ and enjoys traveling, snowboarding and getting outdoors in his spare time.

    Ryan joined Solebury Capital as an Analyst in 2014 after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.

    Prior to joining Solebury, Ryan worked at Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust within their Acquisitions Department. While at PREIT, Ryan assisted with the potential acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate assets, aiding in financial analysis and conducting due diligence evaluation.

    Since joining the firm, Ryan has worked on IPOs and Follow-on transactions for a number of issuers, executing offerings for companies such as Axalta, Bojangles’, Fogo de Chao, Nord Anglia, Planet Fitness, Press Ganey and Smuckers, amongst others. Ryan is based in Solebury Capital’s New Hope, PA office.

    Bradley is an Associate at Solebury Capital. Prior to joining Solebury in 2014, Bradley worked as a Director of Client Services at Grand Bay Building and Development. While at Grand Bay, Bradley was responsible for developing marketing strategies and providing property management

    Bradley graduated from Rollins College with a BA in Economics. Since starting at Solebury, Bradley has worked with various issuers across multiple sectors advising offerings for TransFirst, Arysta Lifescience, VWR, MPG and The Habit Burger. Bradley is based in Solebury Capital’s New Hope, PA office.

  • Robert Mullin


    Robert Mullin


    Rob is an Associate at Solebury Capital. Prior to joining Solebury in 2015, he worked as a Field Examiner with PNC Business Credit in Los Angeles, CA. As a Field Examiner, Rob worked on secured lending audits within Asset Based Lending. He was responsible for preparing audit reports for review and discussion with relationship managers and loan committees. Additionally, Rob provided recommendations to improve collateral control and reporting procedures.

    Rob graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a BS in Accounting. Rob is based in Solebury Capital’s New Hope, PA office.

  • Michael Miniconzi


    Michael Miniconzi


    Michael joined Solebury Capital as an Analyst in 2015 after graduating from Villanova University with a B.A. in Economics.

    Prior to joining Solebury, Michael worked at Charles River Associates as a summer analyst within their Intellectual Property Practice. While at CRA, Michael assisted in the development of export reports for litigation disputes, conducted market research, and modeled financial data and client documents.

    Alex Hatem


    Alex joined Solebury Capital as an Analyst in 2016 after previously interning with the firm.

    Alex graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.S. in Business Administration. As a member and two time captain of the Men’s Division 1 Lacrosse Team, Alex helped the Spiders to 3 conference championships and an NCAA Tournament berth. In addition, Alex was a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Council as the voice between Student Athletes and University Administration.

    Kevin McCarthy


    Prior to joining Solebury, Kevin worked as an analyst with PNC Wealth Management where he developed strategies to better manage risk for client portfolios.

    Kevin graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Organization and Management Studies. As a member of Gettysburg’s Varsity Football Team, Kevin was a 4 year varsity letter winner and was named to the 2016 National Football Foundation & College Honor Society.

    Kevin is based in Solebury Capital’s New Hope office.

    Matt is an Analyst based in Solebury Capital’s New Hope, PA office. Since joining Solebury in 2018, Matt has worked on a variety of client monetization’s including recent IPO’s, Marketed Follow-on’s and Block Trades. Matt has provided equity capital markets counsel on more than 20 engagements since joining Solebury. Matt graduated from the Lafayette College in 2018 with a B.S. in Economics & Finance, where he was also a member and captain of the Men’s Division 1 Lacrosse Team.
